Can a "four-star donkey" would produce better strategy than Pentagon Generals?
Leader of the Turkish MHP (Nationalist Movement Party) suggested "Turkish-Russian-Chinese Alliance". Is it a sign of the apocalypse?Think of a nation whose history with the Chinese goes back more than 3,000 years.
And think of a nation—I don't know of another example in the world—that wrote on its most fundamental historical stone inscriptions (the Orkhon Inscriptions): "Beware of the Chinese people! First they come with soft silk cloths and sweet words! If you are deceived by these, they will later show their true face!"
Think of a nation that has fought so much with the Russians that it came up with the proverb, "You can't get fur from a bear, or a friend from a Muscovite!"
It has branded these two nations as "enemies," and embedded this into its cultural genetic code!
For the Russians, this also represents the product of a specific effort. It's like it's saying, "We trusted these Russians. We tried to be friends. It doesn't work! Don't trust them, my child," and left behind a proverb.
As for the Chinese, think of a nation! It conquered China! Then, it "forbade entering Chinese territory." The reason? "If we enter, they will first get us used to a comfortable life, then they will assimilate us!" They only imposed a tax and left their lands.
This is the genetic cultural view of the Turks toward the Russians and Chinese.
The Russians aren't much different. The greatest historical concern of the Russian elite is the invasion of Russia's vast, uninhabited lands by Japan and China with their insufficient population. They have nightmares about this! This is why, traditionally, more than 60% of the Russian Army's total capacity is deployed on the Chinese side (I don't know the situation after this recent Ukraine issue).
Now, let's remember the most basic rule of strategy: "Divide and conquer!"
Pentagon Generals and the U.S. elite are expected to be well-trained and among the most knowledgeable people in the world on history and strategy. Right?
But they are managing to turn even the most fundamental principle of world war and strategy history "against themselves."
They have succeeded in bringing China, Russia, and Turkey—who naturally and historically have no love for each other—closer to one another, contrary to all their historical experience, and against the U.S.!
So, wouldn't you ask the man: If I were to get a donkey, slap four stars on its backside, and write "I'd produce better strategy myself" on it, would that be so wrong?
